Founder and CEO of North Summit Capital, Dr. Min is a leading expert in industrial intelligence and business innovations powered by data technology and mathematics. He pioneers a ‘technology + capital’ strategy to accelerate digital transformation in various industries ranging from e-commerce to manufacturing and smart city.
Dr. Min received a Ph.D. in statistics from The University of Chicago and B.S from the University of Science & Technology of China. His research area includes probability, stochastic process, time series analysis, machine learning, smart traffic and signal processing. He served as a researcher at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, IBM Singapore, and Google before joining Alibaba in 2013. Later as Chief Machine Intelligence Scientist for Alibaba Cloud, Dr. Min took charge R&D in the data intelligence solutions.
In 2017, Dr. Min was named by Forbes as a leading technologist driving China’s A.I. revolution and also appointed to the advisory committee of the next-generation A .I. strategy under China’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
After accumulating extensive experience in digital transformation of traditional industries, North Summit Capital is founded with a new investing philosophy of technology consulting plus financial investment. As one of A.I. leaders, Dr. Min devotes himself to attain the vision of advancing inclusive technology for social good, through accelerating digital transformation of the traditional industries and combining A.I. intelligence with traditional sectors, specifically in manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, etc.
Fabian (FCCA, CIA, CFSA, CCSA, CISA, CISM, PMP) is a modern digital strategist, technologist focusing on human brilliance experience design and futurism sensory AI experiences. He is a firm believer of ethical and socially responsible experience designs in the post-C19 world.
Previously, he led as Deloitte Digital’s Managing Partner, and was a Global Client Service Partner, Global Markets Partner at Ernst & Young in London. He was also the Executive Creative Director for a global top 5 creative agency in Asia, and the Chief Creative Officer at a FTSE250 $4 Billion listed company in the United Kingdom.
In his 20+ years of professional experience, he led in multiple global digital strategy and transformation projects for customer strategy, digital marketing, m-commerce, experience, data and AI. Projects included leveraging micro-services, APIs integration, business intelligence, and leveraging SaaS based digital products to optimise experience and cost base.
Prior to joining NSC, Aaron graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and became an expert in enterprise services, industrial internet and hardware related fields. Utilizing his expertises, Aaron spearheaded over 15 investment projects at Liuhe Venture Capital and Artesian Capital Management.
Following his success, he headed Softbank China Venture Capital as an Investment Director, focusing on enterprise services investment, and later joined NSC.
Lily Zhang focused on inbound and outbound consumer industry since her first job. Before joining NSC, she was head of consumer investment in Far East Horizon, the largest finance leasing institution with Aum of 300B in China. She also worked in CICC (formerly Chinese Investment Securities), China eCapital and Italian Trade Commission. Leading 9 domestic and overseas consumer projects, involving IPOs, M&As and investments, of which 8 have follow-up financing or IPO. She is CFA. And she received a Master degree from Shanghai University.
Botian Xiao is a VP at North Summit Capital, focusing on investments in logistics, supply chain, enterprise service, agriculture and cross-border sector. Prior to NSC, Botian served as senior associate at Everbright PE, where he led and participated in private placement deals including Jinko Technology, SinoHytec. Prior to Everbright, Botian spent time at Citic Securities where he participated in both domestic and cross-border transactions including Midea’s acquisition of Kuka, Aerospace’s acquisition of IEE and AC, with aggregated value of over RMB 30bn.
Martin started his career in Hong Kong with KPMG and Bloomberg. He then joined Wattle Hill Capital, focusing on cross-border transactions; and also Bank of China Group Investment’s FoF division in Hong Kong. He joined North Summit Capital in 2020 and is currently following the investment in logistics, education and technology sectors. Martin holds B.Eng. of Information Security from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and M.Phil. of Information Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Celine Cai focuses on investments in technology and corporate services. Prior to joining North Summit Capital, Celine worked as a project manager in Bank of China Group Investment Ltd and participated in several domestic and cross-border private equity projects. Celine holds a Master of Management and a Bachelor of Economics from Tsinghua University.
Prior to joining NSC, Qianxin worked at CAS Star (a venture capital firm derived from Chinese Academy of Sciences) where she participated in several early-stage projects in healthcare sector. Qianxin received an M.S. from Harvard University, and B.E. and B.A. from Renmin University of China.
Rania Li is a dynamic global communications executive with over 10 years in corporate & brand communications for Top Fortune 500 enterprises, mainstream media and leading multinational organizations. As an investment manager at JD.com, Rania focused on global communications and investor relations to lead JD.com’s successful IPO on the NASDAQ in North America as China’s largest e-commerce company and a member of the Fortune Global 500. She joined the Financial Times as Product Director to provide insight into the emerging markets. She then joined CreditEase as Global Communications Director and helped push the company into a global FinTech leader. Rania received a master’s degree in media management from the University of Westminster.
Cindy Zhu has financial and operational experience in the field of overseas private equity. She joined NSC in 2019 and serves as finance director of the company. Prior to join NSC, Cindy had more than 8 years experience in finance and accounting. Cindy was the finance VP of Everbright Financial Holding Shenzhen Company. Before that, she was an auditor of PWC China. Cindy is a certified public accountant. She received undergraduate degrees in finance from Beijing Language and Culture University, and master degree in economics from Xiamen University.
Irene is currently Assistant to Dr. Min, supporting the execution on complex deals and client management matters. Her previous role was with McKinsey where she was responsible for A.I. / Analytics alongside a duo role with McKinsey’s Quantum Black. Some of her career highlights include working in a highly diversified FMCG where she led teams to aggregate PaaS propositions across complex digital ecosystems.
